Once again CTM is offering workshops for kids who want to learn more.

April 21-25 Every afternoon from 1-3.

Monday, Tuesday and Friday at the Dress up Theater of the Children's Museum of Maine!
Thursday and Friday at 1158 Forest Avenue.

$10 per individual workshop - $40 for all five

Monday April 21 - Let's Act

All ages
No experience needed
Beginners welcome
Instructor: Reba Short, CTM Artistic Director

Come put on a hat and be someone different. Whether you're a natural or really shy, anyone can act. We will teach you how to open up and present yourself to the crowd! The workshop will end with a character parade through the museum.

Tuesday April 22 - Props, Puppets and Things

Ages 6-9
Some experience preferred
Instructor: Reba Short, CTM Artistic Director

How do actors use different things onstage? How do puppets come alive? In this workshop, you'll learn how to use props fully, and make puppets become real onstage. A little acting experience prefered. Ages 6-9. Bring an object of your choice.

Wednesday April 23 - Free the Dancer In You

Ages 5-10
No experience needed
Instructor: Ray Dumont, CTM Managing Director

Dancing is one of the most joyful things a body can do. Learn beginner steps to help you build confidence, strength and just have fun.

Thursday April 24 - A Dance From a Broadway Show

Ages 7-18
Some dance experience preferred
Instructor: Ray Dumont, CTM Managing Director

Here's your chance to learn the actual dance steps from a Broadway musical! This is the real deal.

Friday April 25 - "What's My Line, Alice?"

Ages 7-18
Some acting experience preferred
Instructor: Reba Short, CTM Artistic Director

Come participate in a staged reading of 2 scenes from "Alice In Wonderland"! With scripts in hand, we will spend two hours rehearsing a scene in "Alice In Wonderland"--where anything goes! We will experiment with scripts in hand, and bring in acting elements we learned throughout the week! Acting experience preferred. Ages 7 and up! The presentation of this performance will follow the workshop for parents and museum patrons alike!
